I used to be able to upload PDF files to FamilySearch Memories, but now the upload almost always fails. The files are under 15 MB, so they are not too large. The error message says, "Upload failed. If it continues to fail, try using a different file format." Regarding this message, FamilySearch Help says, "There is a problem with the FamilySearch server where the photos or documents are saved. This can often be solved by refreshing the web page or by uploading the item at a different time." Neither of those solutions seems to help. Thank you for any suggestions.

A few weeks ago there was a problem uploading pdf files to Memories when using the New person page. This bug seems to have been resolved. I can upload pdf files without a problem.

I suggest you try the following:

    1. Try again - there may have been a temporary glitch.
    2. Have you turned your computer off since last trying? If not then reboot.
    3. Try using a different browser
    4. Check that your browser is up-to-date (eg. for Chrome, click on the three vertical dots on the far right, click help, click About Google Chrome)
    5. Clear FamilySearch cookies - go to https://www.familysearch.org/cookies
    6. If all of the above do not work, try clearing all of your temporary files and cookies in your browser (for Chrome this is the 3 dots again, Settings, Security & Privacy, Clear browsing data).

Using Firefox to upload the PDF files worked. After uploading the files and clicking on a thumbnail to view a media file, I can't view it in Firefox. But I can view it with Chrome. That's strange, but fortunately there are workarounds.

I am still seeing this in Jan 2023. But switching to the Previous-Version 'Person Page' seems to work fine.

@WLaddR is this still an issue?
