My great grandfather is a read only person. On my family tree I am trying to merge my incorrect great grandfather to my correct great grandfather, but it won't allow me to merge them because the correct one is a read only person. How can I merge them, so I have my correct great grandfather on my tree?

Are you sure that the incorrect one is a duplicate of the correct one? Otherwise unlink your grandparent from the wrong one and link him or her to the correct one.
