Source tags missing/removed from "Events" section of profiles (Residences/Military Service etc.).

I added them ages ago and now it wants me to go back and tag ALL of them... again... on every profile? I just attached a new census source which automatically added the new residence entry into the Events field but did not tag the source. Is this working as intended or is it a bug? I found a few threads about sourcing issues but not this one specifically. Sources are still tagged for the "Vitals" section. Example: Sara Clark Burgess G9HG-8ZW

You state that you added source tags to events "ages ago." When was this? We've only been able to add a tag to anything other than Vitals a couple of months ago when the new pages were released.

I tested out this very new capability back in September and all the tags I attached then are still in place:

Looking in the change log for Sara, I don't see any Source Tag Changed events. Nothing in her Other Information section was ever tagged according to her Change Log.

You should be aware that because of the data structure of Other Information attaching a source cannot tag anything added other than in Vital. We do have to add the information, either directly or through the Source Linker, then go back and tag anything added to Other Information. It is not automatically tagged as in Vitals.

Can you explain more about when and where you tagged anything in Other Information?

Perhaps you're confusing FS with a different genealogy site that you also use? As Gordon says, the ability to tag sources to entries in the Other Information section is brand-spanking-new in FamilySearch's Family Tree, so you cannot have done it "ages ago" here.

Huh, maybe I'm just suffering from "old brain" today. Thank you both so very much for your assistance, I really appreciate it. It's a relief to know that I'm not redoing something I've already done. I do have quite a few trees in play. Thanks again! ❤️
