Permission To Do Ordinances For a Friend
I would like help receiving permission to perform the temple ordinances for a good friend. My wife and I spoke with our friend the day prior to his passing (in September) about this, and he told us it was his desire that we do his temple work for him.
This past weekend we held a Memorial service for our friend, in our home, at which his son and daughter were in attendance. Since the service we have communicated (through text messages) with his daughter about our conversation with her Dad, and explained more to her about the temple and ordinances. We also referred her to "churchofjesuschrist.org" to learn even more. Today, after speaking with her siblings (and doing their "research"), she sent my wife a message, giving us "their approval".
As (to our knowledge, thus far) we are not "related", we are hitting a road block when the process asks us about "our relationship" to our friend. Please assist us in accomplishing our friend's sacred and sincere request.
