Is there a way to know how many names I have in my family tree?

The problem is there is only one world tree. Your tree is my tree.

The answer depends on what you mean by "my tree." Do you mean only your personal ancestors? Or do you mean your ancestors and all their other descendants?

Hi Gail, I understand where you're coming from. People may share parts of their tree, but my tree is not your tree, unless we're related which I highly doubt. Thanks for your comment!
Hi dontiknowyou, in response to your comment...I mean all my ancestors and their descendants. Thanks for responding!
The fan chart gives me up to seven generations of my direct line ancestors, and if I look deeper, I can see their descendants, and so on. It would take a long time to go through all those descendancy lines, so I was curious to know if FamilySearch provided a way to know how many ancestors and "cousins" I have connected to ME in my tree. Hope this is a little clearer.

I mean all my ancestors and their descendants.
For this your best bet is the 3rd party software Family Tree Maker. Using it, you can export an ancestry tree from Family Tree then also export descendancy trees of all ancestors.
Before you try this, however, you should know that descendancy trees can be much, much larger than ancestry trees, and FamilySearch throttles long exports. So to get the head count you see, you may need to let the software run for weeks.

Yikes!! Thanks for explaining. Knowing the exact amount of ancestors and cousins I have connected to me in my tree isn't worth doing all that. But I know now that the answer to my question is "no" and I'm fine with that. I still have the other great "stats" FamilySearch provides that are a good source of information.
Appreciate the help and comments!

And, before doing that, you want to take a good look at those most distant ancestors in the FSFT. There are often names with no sources and nothing to support that they are your direct family. This is 7 generations back from my maternal grandmother. There are many names in the earliest visible generation that have no supporting evidence.

Painting the fan chart by number of sources is even more helpful. (And gee, I wish the legend had a label!)
Some of those ancestors are pretty solid with 10+ sources, at least in the direct line.
