Embargoed Microfilms
I have whole microfilms embargied often just due to a couple of recent entries eg 992723 which are not even in the parish I am interested in. Do these really have to be closed even when I am at Local FHL Premises. If I went to Worcester Record Office I could view these with no problems.

When I looked at film #992723 in the catalog, I noted that there are multiple items on this film. Item 22 is from Worcestershire. Items 1-21 are from Herefordshire. I cannot find the exact article in the help center, but FamilySearch has contracts with record holders. These contracts determine accessiblity.

Due to the vast size of its holdings and very limited resources (manpower), FamilySearch employs an all-or-nothing approach to film access: if there is a single image on the film (or in the digital image group, now) that is restricted (due to privacy laws or contractual agreements, for example), then the entire film or image group is restricted.

Keep an eye on the Images browser. They are working through films of these sort and separating out the images that are allowed from images that have restricted information. So you may find that the records you need come available over time as they are separated from more recent records.

FYI, Even the Mathon, Worcestershire records extend to 1943 and are probably under restriction because of that end date.
On the other hand, the Bishop's Transcripts for that time period have been indexed, although images of records are only available at a FamilySearch Center.
