Life Sketch, now "Brief Life History" - Does Not Work as described in the blog....
@lyleblunttoronto1 THANKS, but....
Today's blog by FamilySearch, "Feedback from Over 4,000 Comments Helps Improve New Person Page" identifies a new feature, which I believe is a good solution to the Life Sketch issue, especially now that the Alert Note functionality is in place. However, after attempting to replicate the process, it doesn't currently appear to work as described in the blog (see description below).
Publish Your Life Sketch (Now "Brief Life History") on the About Tab
"The life sketch has a new name now, "Brief Life History," added for clarification. After you are finished writing a brief life history for an ancestor, a popup will appear that allows you to publish your history on the About tab of the person page, replacing the automated one usually there."
(Here's the link - https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/feedback-new-person-page)
ISSUE DESCRIPTION:
It appears 10,000 characters are allowed, so quite generous, but the part about "a popup will appear that allows you to publish your history on the About tab of the person page, replacing the automated one usually there" does not work.
I tried editing a Life Sketch already published, but received no popup. I then deleted and added it, as if new, but no popup and no change to the automated life summary on the About tab.
After this, I tried the described process on a person who did not previously have a Life Sketch, but still no popup and no change to the automated life summary on the About tab.
Is the functionality supposed to be there now, or is this just a future option? Please advise.

Our timing is a little off between the development pipline, blog posts and transalations. We will have the publish Brief Life History feature out as soon as we can. We are shooting for tomorrow with limited translations being done.

Can you put in a blurb that says "Don't just copy Find a Grave."?

😂
I did see a lot of these, when I analyzed the data. It seemed like someone was doing it as their full time job. There is going to be a little blurb about Alert Notes and Notes.

@lyleblunttoronto1 you mentioned above that, "There is going to be a little blurb about Alert Notes and Notes." Will this blurb be in addition to what appears on the FamilySearch blog, or will it be in the Announcements section of Community?

The blurb will be on the page

@Liz . have you found that FamilySearch is "running a Programme which is currently Deleting or Removing all existing Life Sketch, now Brief Life History, regardless if they are NOT a Warning or Caution?" I think not, but if so, that is not what they said was going to happen, and they should be notified of such occurrences.
With the recent addition of the Alert note and the associated banner, any current Warning or Caution contained in the Brief Life History (formerly Life Sketch) should be moved to the Notes section of the Collaborate tab where 1 Note may be designated as an Alert note. When done the Warning/Caution banner will be displayed just beneath the section tabs.
It is my understanding that FamilySearch will NOT programmatically perform this task for anyone, but will rely on the user to manually migrate the current Warnings or Cautions users have added, to the place that has been prepared for them to potentially receive more attention.
Once the Brief Life History is clear of Warning or Caution notes, the user may choose to add a Brief Life History, which may be displayed in the upper right corner of the About tab, if desired (check the box). Or, one may move the Brief Life History section to the top of the Detail tab by changing their personal My Layout Settings configuration; in this instance, the computer generated Brief Life History on the About tab will remain.
If this is not correct, @lyleblunttoronto1 could give any correction needed to the process.
To me the ability to Follow the person is the fail-safe in all this, because some will pay little attention to any current Warning or Caution left wherever it is currently being displayed or migrated to.
Much of this information has been discussed on the New Person Page group, which would be wise to join in order to get a feel for the changes coming in the next few months.

@Liz . I am not an authorized representative of FamilySearch, and am sorry to step in and try to offer help on this Community page. You may try tagging @lyleblunttoronto1 (as I did above), who is involved in the implementation of the Brief Life History option, and can hopefully provide you with the answers you are after. Either way, this is a Community site, so a few members will see and possibly try to respond; again, no offense intended.
