How to correct a standardized place name that is incorrect?
Hi,
There is a problem with the location that is reported on the above baptisms. The search results report the location as 'Kinkell, Aberdeenshire, Scotland'.
When in fact, the location is Kinkell Associate (Non conformist) Trinity Gask, Perthshire, Scotland.
I believe many of the entries on this register have been incorrectly identified as being in Kinkell Aberdeenshire. So it is leading to some confusion for researchers.
Here are the correct entries from Scotland's People.-
TAYLOR
ELIZABETH
JOHN TAYLOR/CHRISTIAN DONALDSON
Birth 13 NOVEMBER 1766
Baptism 16 NOVEMBER 1766
KINKELL ASSOCIATE, TRINITY GASK, PERTH, SCOTLAND
and
TAYLOR
LILLIUS
JOHN TAYLOR/CHIRSTIAN DONALDSON
Birth 20 APRIL 1769
Baptism 30 APRIL 1769
KINKELL ASSOCIATE, TRINITY GASK, PERTH, SCOTLAND
Thank you for checking into this.

We report these in the Search category here on Community. I will use the little Flag to ask a moderator to move it there for you.
This specific record is only the transcription, no image, so you cannot edit it: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XYGC-YP1

Thank you very much for flagging this. There seems to be problems with the baptism entries in a lot of the Kinkell Associate Church transcriptions. I have reported another error previously, of a missing entry from the same filming, but it has not been addressed yet.
Your help is truly appreciated! Many thanks
