Will there be a new way to help with the index of 1950 US Census soon?

In reference to the above request, there are many census pages that are incomplete, where families have been missed and or family members within a family have been missed. Likewise I would like to be able to correct more than simple name corrections as there are too many of these mistakes to list

The above link to the 1950 census has been indexed with the wrong location (Washington Michigan instead of Washington DC) and it does not give me an option to edit the location field. It does appear to have been edited before with every other possible Washington in the US except the correct one.

Currently, the only edit option to the 1950 US Census index is the name. Additional fields will be editable in the future--unfortunately, we do not have a projected date for more options to improve the index. Meanwhile, you can use the record you find as a source for your ancestors and note the errors in your "reason to attach". Or, to bypass the flawed index, you can save the image of the page to your source box and use the image as your source. Here are links to Help Center articles that provide details:

Another alternative is to create a source in Family Tree using the URL to the census page image:

I can't find an easy way to access the 1950 census images by enumeration district. There used to be a website that would take me right to them in FS images, but now I can't find that website and FS doesn't do it any way that I can find. What am I missing? (putting it politely.)

Here is a website that worked last year. I used it before the census project began but have not looked at it recently. Hope it helps you!

It's a good idea to have the following information to help you look for the ED:

•State, County, City or Town you are interested in

•Street name and number, if possible
