Please forward the following to the appropriate department regarding a problem found in the 1950 U.S. Census

It appears that Image 23 of Film # 108813794 of the 1950 U. S. Census either was not properly indexed and reviewed or that the information on the image was not properly added in the published document with its citation and detail information included.

What is being done to fix the horrible indexing of the 1950 Census. I have searched for family members in at least 10 states and I am still finding families split or members indexed to the wrong family or not indexed at all, including partial page indexing. Images for Pennsylvania are not available, and the list goes on. As I have said before, this is very disappointing since volunteers spent valuable time correcting these very records.

@BurkeBelnap The 1950 US Census is not a completed project on FamilySearch yet. Citations are missing and editing options are limited to names. Some of the pages have entries that were missed in the computer-generated index. We are told that changes are coming to enable users to fix all errors, including adding missed information. Unfortunately, we do not know when editing/adding options will be available.

Meanwhile, since you found the image of the census page that you need, you can use that image as your source in Family Tree--thus bypassing the flawed index. I believe that all 1950 census images open in the Explore Historical Images area. You should see an Attach to Tree button in the top-right. Use that to attach the image as a source to a Tree profile.
