Change Log Filter

It would be very helpful if a filter by contributor could be added to the change log filters.

I am currently going back through family that I have not checked on for a few years and making sure all their information is still correct (yes, I have gotten way behind on change notifications), including going through the Change Log to make sure any changes were correct.

I'm finding it a bit challenging to find the few changes made by other people buried in the dozens I have made. Having a filter to see just changes made by others would make it easier to evaluate those changes. This is already in place in the Following page but to use that, you have to be following the person, find the person in the Following list first, and it only goes back a few months, not the entire change log.

To make this even more complex, it could also be helpful to have a list in the Change Log filters of everyone who has made a change and be able to filter by one or more of those people. Then I could also filter out the users I have learned to trust completely from those whose changes I always need to triple check and usually reverse.

    I'd like to go one step further and be able to search the entire site for changes by a specific user, mostly to find serial mass-mergers, newbies who think they're working on a private tree, and people who edit by changing names and vital info on sourced profiles. (There's one editor who does that so badly that they've had at least four accounts blocked outright, and keep coming back, targeting the same profiles, going on three years now.)

    That said, I completely understand why there's no chance they'll ever regular users to do that.

    @Gordon Collett

    Not exactly the filter options you requested in this Idea but there are Change Log filters now.

    This would help sort for easier identification of users making certain changes but not sort based upon actual users/login names.

    Yes, those are the filters that have been in place quite a while now and which I obliquely referred to in my original post. I use them all the time and find them very handy. They are what spurred the request for an addition to that list.
