Virginia Vital Records Place of Birth
@John Empoliti I'm reviewing this batch https://www.familysearch.org/indexing/batch/bb55e1d7-0c15-4bf1-bc37-a8e0d0222bfe [M3R1-JP6] - the indexer entered street addresses for the Place of Birth - I think these entries should either be marked <blank> or Norfolk, VA according to the page heading, which is correct before I go thru the entire 100+ entries. Which is correct? Thanks 😎

I would not use the street address as you also concluded - we typically don't index that as part of a string of localities. But, I would also not use "Virginia" from the title - we usually don't extract info from the title. I would just index Norfolk as the birthplace, which is provided within the image/document. I don't work on these records and so haven't checked on this issue with the higher-ups, but that is my opinion. The researchers can put the rest of it together on their own.
