Should Web Indexing support indexing records found across multiple images?

I'm reviewing South Africa, Johannesburg—Cemetery Records, 1840–2019 and there is a case where the page is (correctly) marked as "No Extractable Data" because there is no name on the image. It is a later part belonging to another record and contains relevant information for indexing the record, in this case, the date of death, the cemetery, and proposed time for burial.

Before web indexing, viewing the next image to complete a record split across multiple images was the normal practice (if a record was continued from a previous image, it would be marked as such), but that isn't supported in web indexing. Is this an issue? Do we have a remedy already to resolve the lost information?

Web indexing does, in fact, support indexing "split" records, the same as freestanding indexing used to. You access the other images using the "reference images" button, which is the bottom one of four at the top left of the image area.

It may vary by project, but in all of the projects I've worked on, you only index records that begin on the image you've been assigned.
