I would suggest the indexing of Virginia Marriage Bonds be more specific with city, county, etc.

For Instance...

Catalog Record
Item Number
Film/Digital Note

Marriage bonds, 1706-1819Marriage bonds, v. 9 (con't. from previous film) 1797 (Contains bonds numbered 351-390.) Marriage bonds, v. 10 1798-1799 (Contains bonds numbered 391-560a.) Marriage bonds, v. 11 (con't. on next film) 1800-1801 (Contains bonds numbered 1-57 (1800), 1-79 (1801).)

There is no locality to distinguish this record from all locations in Virginia. Using the Browse Multiple Images button on the left I was able to trace these records back to the city of Chesapeake, Norfolk County, VA.

Isn't there a way to specify the locality more in the index descriptions or at least provide us with the option of making edits or a note for others to follow?

Thanks for all you do!
