Understanding Indexing Certificate Batches Process

When indexing the Tennessee death certificates I am given 3 certificates (assuming it consist of 1 batch). Is each certificate being indexed 3 separate times before the next certificate is ready? Or, are we indexing each certificate just once? What is throwing me off is on the upper left where we fill in the fields. At the top there is numbers 1of 3. Then just below it, it is showing 3 of 4. Then when I attempt to summit my work it says there are like 44 errors. I looked for answers to this question as I feel it leaves this question unclear and having those two different sets of numbers one beneath the other while both are saying two separate things, it confuses me all the more. The only thing I do know is I am accurate filling in the fields.

Each certificate is indexed once. You will have only 3 entries for a batch of three certificates. If you have more than three entries per batch, you will need to delete the extra entries by using the trash can icon located on your toolbar.
