6th cousin reserves my aunt without family permission
Your "ordinances ready" algorithm goes out and finds distant relatives whose work I can do. That is good! BUT.. it didn't feel so good when I finally got up nerve to ask my nonmember cousins if I could seal their parents forever in our temple, was excited when they responded more positively than I expected and then disappointed to discover some 6th cousin (our closest common relative was born 1729) has reserved that work over a year ago so I can't do it! I have sent the attached unanswered message but there's got to be a better way! If you can do what you do with your algorithms then you can discover if their are living relatives and require their permission and you can fix it so my 6th cousin can't lock up my aunt's work so that I can't do it for over a year. I know you can.. as Pres Kimball would say.."Just Do It!"
Hi, my name is Bill Allen and Jessie Mildred Allen Harlowe (ID# 2WDD-RM2 in family search) is my Aunt. My dad was the oldest and then Aunt Jess and Aunt Bess (twins) were born before dad was 2 years old.
Aunt Jess married Robert Edward Harlowe ( ID# LJGD-WD7 in family search) and they gave birth to my cousin's Alice Gay and Johnny who were my age and playmates. I am the only member of the Church in our family and finally decided I should contact my cousins and request permission to seal their parents together. I did that, and received their permission with a request to get back with them and tell them about my experience doing it. I then eagerly went to family search and was reminded of how old I am!
I realized all my aunts and uncles are over 110 years old and anyone can do their work, I guess, without family permission!
You have reserved that work over a year ago and have not yet had the chance to complete it. I would love to be able to do it. I work in the Atlanta, GA temple and my wife and I would really like to feed back to Alice Gay and Johnny re our experience being proxy for their mom and dad.
I could only do that if you released it on family search. If you feel comfortable doing that, please reach out to me and let me know you have done so and I will schedule it. Thanks for your consideration of my request.
