Other Info category
Since the family tree page is being redesigned, I recommend moving the "Other Info" category as well as "Events" and "Facts" below the "Family Members" category so it is easier to see the family members' names and navigate. I recommend having the "Life Sketch" at the top, followed by the "Vital Facts", then the "Family Members" section.
If people are using the "Sources" properly, the events and facts are listed there and they can click the link to see the record. Many times these lists just duplicate what's in the sources and in the past at least it didn't link the fact to the source, so it wasn't as useful. If the fact comes from an attached source the two should be linked, so researchers can click the fact and be redirected to the page without going to sources. The "Other Info" section is often empty or may have a very long list. I haven't seen a way to hide that section like the "Life Sketch" did previously, so only a little shows and doesn't overtake the page.

You can show or hide any section by clicking anywhere along the top of the section.

Coming soon you will be able to set a personal, preferred order of the sections on your details list.

@lyleblunttoronto1 Do you have any contact with the people who program Community? Are they working on the bug that causes images to vanish forever if a post is edited?
Also, can you please repost your images? It's been about eight hours. They are never going to show up here.

@Julia Szent-Györgyi & @Gordon Collett - apologies for the problems with images. We had a technical issue occur on the 16th, which I believe is the root cause of this. I am discussing options with our engineering team.

The Layout setting seem to work very nicely. I think it will be a welcome addition. However, after so many weeks of working in the double column, the single column layout looks kind of strange and results in a lot of empty space on the page. I'll certainly be staying with the double column.
I'm sure the people that want the Life Sketch at the top of the page will be thrilled. But will they still incorrectly use it for warnings? And will they have a false sense of assurance that everyone is seeing their warnings when in reality, the people that most need to see the warnings will likely never use the layout settings and never see the Life Sketch? Or will the default placement for the Life Sketch go back to being at the top since those of us who never find it useful will need to move it to the bottom and close it? How are the discussions about improving collaboration going?
The Family Members section has certainly gotten flashy today. It is a lot easier to see whose page you are on. But I'm not sure what I think of it.

Wow, what a large over all improvement.
I am like Gordon. After having worked with the two columns, I prefer them to the single column also. There is too much wasted space on the single column. Really like the ability to arrange the order. Thank you again so much for all the improvements you have made over the last few months in response to the feedback.
