Sealing to Parents for an adopted child

My grandmother Marilyn Ann Mecham KWZZ-S9S has listed that she was born in the covenant under her sealing to parents ordinances. However, she was adopted by her father and her parents were sealed after she was born.

Marilyn Ann Mecham KWZZ-S9S was born in 1934.

Her mother was DeLema Virgina Harvey KWZT-JN3 and she was adopted by her father Othello Mecham KWZZ-S9H. DeLema and Othello were sealed in 1946. DeLema was never married (and thus never sealed) to Marilyn's biological father.

Marilyn was not born in the covenant as she was adopted and the sealing of her parents took place after she was born. I'm wondering if I can find out why she is listed as born in the covenant and if we can get the record of when or if she was ever sealed to her parents DeLema and Othello.
