Is an email reply from a sibling sufficient documentation to approve ordinances for a friend? This person (for whom I am requesting approval) was a member of the church and was working to prepare and go to the temple in 2014 when she passed away from cancer.
Thanks

Hi Rick,
Thank you for your reply. Even though Chris has passed from this life we can provide these blessings in her behalf in the Temple. She was working towards this when she succumbed to the cancer she had been battling.
I have copied a part of the description of the endowment from a Church presentation:
The word endowment means “a gift.” In this context, the temple endowment is a gift of sacred blessings from God to each of us. The endowment can only be received in His way and in His holy temple. Some of the gifts you receive through the temple endowment include:
1. Greater knowledge of the Lord’s purposes and teachings.
2. Power to do all that God wants us to do.
3. Divine guidance and protection as we serve the Lord, our families, and others.
4. Increased hope, comfort, and peace.
5. Promised blessings now and forever.
These blessings are given through God’s sealing power conferred by Jesus Christ to Peter:
Matt 16: 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
I will let you know if we need anything additional. Thank you again! Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone
