Suggestion: Premature Missing Child Flag
Missing Child hint/flag appears immediately after husband and wife are added— regardless of how many unattached sources are lined up to be attached. Yes, its true, ALL children are missing, since they aren’t attached yet.
It would be more meaningful if the flag ONLY appeared AFTER the 25 (in this case) pending sources have been attached. It makes the hint relatively meaningless when it appears before sources have been attached.
thanks

The Research Suggestions system doesn't look at source attachments, except so far as to complain if there are zero. As soon as you attach one source, those purple suggestions stop "looking at" the sources tab.
"Possible missing child" looks only at the Family Members section, and yes, if the children are missing because you haven't gotten around to entering them yet, then it's annoying to see this reminder -- it comes across as "hurry up, you lazy so-and-so!". But there's a reason purple (suggestions) always comes last in FS's various displays: it's not worth even looking at them until you've gotten rid of any red (problems) and dealt with any blue (hints).

yep. all that i understand. It was a suggestion for the future. maybe adding a switch in preferences, so they can be turned off; that would be great.
thanks.

I thought there was an option to turn them off, but see this applies when viewing on Landscape, but not from the Person / Details page.
I have learned to ignore most of these suggestions, in any case, as they appear to be applied inconsistently. I added two brothers to the tree today and have just seen that the one who did not marry has the suggestion "Person may have children" on his page, yet the other brother - who married a woman of child-bearing age, but had no children - has, "There are no pending helps for this person" at the top of his page.
Yes, a shame that there is no option here to hide these (often odd) "Research Helps".
