Why doesn't "Results per page" STAY where I set it?

My frustration over this has been slowly building over the past months and finally came to a head today.

Using or adjusting filters causes the "results per page" on Search - Records to reset itself back to 20.

Combined with the location of the setting at the bottom of the page and its behavior of putting you right back at the top of the page when you change it, this means that every time I make a tweak to my search, I'm looking through the first 20 results twice.

Every. Single. Time.

Grrrr.

@Julia Szent-Györgyi Engineers report that they have corrected the problem. I have tested it, and it seems to be working correctly now.
