The administrator account disappeared on several pcs.

The consultants are needing to download some programs such as printer drivers, but because they do not have administrator accounts anymore, they are struggling to use the PC. Could anyone help us how to restore the admin account on FHC pcs?

Thank you.

We have the same problem. I searched for "Administrator Account Issue" and did find some possible solutions to try.

Many FHC staff have reported the issue of the missing Administrator account and this note offers a few points of guidance so you can understand what is happening.

Changes are taking place in the background which will affect all of our FHCs.

In due time the Administrator account will be superseded with the FSAdmin account, which uses the same password.

FSAdmin is an abbreviation for 'FamilySearch Administration'.

Some Centres are now NOT showing either of these accounts, and to remedy this simply leave your computers on for a day, or longer if necessary. The background policy programme will update each computer and the Administrator and FSAdmin accounts will appear.

Once you see the FSAdmin account option, please use this in preference to the Administrator account.

    Cheerio for now!
