Reserved Temple Names are being done by the Temple?

I have reserved names that were originally shared with the temple. I printed those names to give to a friend for the baptisms and confirmations to be done. This friend has not been able to get to the temple yet and the time for them to expire has not happened. But twice I have had a name show up having the baptism done at a temple. My friend hasn't done them, so how can a name that has been reserved and card printed for temple work by me, then be completed at a temple? I assume that there is a glitch with it where it had previously be shared with the temple, but not printed by the temple. I worry a bit about reserving names that have been shared with the temple, if they are going to be done by the temple anyway. The two names this has affected so far are Geraldine Oregon Kammer (FSID# GHNS-PRT) and Amanda Turner (FSID# LT45-VM4). Can you give me some insight on this? Thanks!

Chase, I put in the ID numbers in my original question for the two names. Is the PID different than those IDs?

No they are the same, I misspoke because I did not see the PIDs in your post until later and the Community system does not let you delete your comment. Sorry, I don't have an explanation for you.

Re: Geraldine Oregon Kammer (GHNS-PRT)
A merge was done on Aug. 15, 2022, two days after the baptism was completed. If the baptism was completed on the record for her that was merged into her current record, that date would have come along in the merge. The only way to see if that is what happened is to restore the deleted record: GCH7-N19 and see if the baptism is on it. It seems a bit of a stretch to have that kind of coincidence, however.
Re: Amanda Turner (LT45-VM4)
I also don't see anything in her change log that would explain this. The only merge on her was back in 2018.
Since both of these were just baptisms, and not both baptism and confirmation, it does look like the temple printed these names, that it was not another patron printing out a card.
If this is a glitch, your notification of the problem should get passed on to the engineers for review. However, I would not let this stop you from reserving names. Just get them done promptly as if the 90-day limit were in force since it kind of looks like something funny might be going on with the expiration dates. Both of these baptisms were done more than 90 days after you reserved them. Also, just make it a general practice to not print cards until the day of, or the day before, going to the temple or to always double check printed cards before using them.

Chas and Gordon, Thanks for reaching out. I will keep an extra eye out for expiration dates and when cards are printed.
