This is an interesting version of this problem. The only parents that show in the Change Log for Addlin are his current parents. He has not had any merges. That probably means that the duplicate parents that the sealing is connected to were detached from him in New Family Search.

Looking for another set of them in Family Tree, I find only the existing parents. This raises the question as to whether they were deleted in that very short interval of time after Family Tree opened when that was possible.

His only parents are: Edward Lay KWCL-GST and Ada Heaps KWCL-GS5. My records show he was sealed to his parents on 19 Jul 1919-SLAKE. (Source: IGI/Ordinance Index) Hope this helps.

Typically when a child to parents sealing has hidden there are duplicate parents in Family Tree that were removed from the child rather than merged properly. But that does not seem to have happened here because there is no sign of duplicate parents. So it must have happened in New Family Search, the predecessor of Family Tree.

I believe you are correct in that it is probably an "artifact" of new FamilySearch. I assume it is "fixable". thanks.
