Family Search entry which appears to be wrong
Dear Family Search
I have stu
mbled across a Family Search entry dated 12 April 2012 which is in conflict with data from another site. I am speaking about the spouse of William Bagnall KC3F-KH9. This spouse as per the entry is Elizabeth Blunt KHDG-86B. But there is no source to confirm this entry.
The reason I am querying this entry is because the BAGNALL Pedigree for London 1634 shows Elizabeth dau of ....Cason of Newton Kyme Yorkshire as being his legal wife.
Initially I thought this was an additional wife, but I don't think that is the case. A second wife is not shown on the pedigree. N.B. William Bagnall A. 1634 (still living in 1634)
Could you please follow up on this entry re the reason for Elizabeth BLUNT given as wife.
Your Sincerely
Katie Benarie
P.S. I realize that the Visitations are notorious for errors, but surely Wm Bagnall knows who is his wife - he signed the pedigree.

Are you sure that William Bagnell from the visitation entry you quote is the same as William Bagnell KC3F-KH9?
The visitation gives a different mother, parents from Stafford and a date of 1634 without saying what that date relates to.
The record has a christening from Somerset - not that close to Stafford.
There is another record for William Bagnell MZT1-7VR with a wife Elizabeth Cason and a child Judith. Also William KH5B-RVN with Elizabeth Cason and four of the children from the visitation not including Edward.
These last two are almost certainly duplicates. It is much less clear whether KC3F-KH9 is also a duplicate.
My suspicion is that KC3F-KH9 is different and probably not the father of Edward.
Clearly more research is needed and ideally more sources attached.

Graham Buckell
