Printed Ordinance Cards
What can be done to the Temple Reservation tab to remove "Printed" after an ordinance has been completed?
With the new guidelines for not collecting the ordinance cards after the ordinance has been completed, it is very difficult to find the next ordinance with the current filters provided. It technically has been printed but it gets confusing when you have 100 or 200 names in the reservation file and the one you what to do next says it has been printed but you don't know if it is that person or the dozen or more, I have in my file.

Hello @MCurtisNielson1 forgive me if I’ve not understood your question correctly, but the ordinances get updated from saying ‘Printed’ to ‘Completed’ once the ordinance has been performed. This usually happens very quickly so should help you to be able to determine which ones need doing next 🙂 .

I appreciate the answer, but it does not help me. "Completed" does do show up in "MY RESERVATIONS".
When I complete Baptism and confirmation and got to look for those names, they are shown as printed, even though the temple retains the card. So, when I try to reprint that card, unless I have written that ID down, i have a hard time find it among all the others in "MY Reservations".
I just wish that when that particular ordinance has been completed, in My Reservations, it would revert to "Not Printed" so I know which one I need to reprint.
I have a number of pre-printed cards to take to the temple and it would be Very Nice to not have to print out twice only to find they are already printed and in my card stack to do.

Have you experimented with the filters on your temple list? See this help article https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-filter-my-family-names-list. One filter is “perform next”

It can be frustrating when programming does not keep up with policies. I suspect there are several aspects to this. One is that the program can't really know whether you got the card back or not.
Going forward, they have made it so that when you print a card, you can request that only certain ordinances be printed. But that, of course, doesn't help now.
Until some better methods get programed in, I went ahead and poked around and found the following:
1) If you unreserve, then re-reserve a person's ordinances, that resets the Printed status to Not Printed. Doing this, you have to work carefully to not lose track of the person. Probably the best way is to work from you Completed list, open the person's Ordinance's page, unreserve, then re-reserve. This is not very efficient.
2) If you share the ordinances with the temple then unshare them, this also rests the status to Not Printed. These you can do as a group by checking off the box in front of each name. However, this will not work for 90-day reservations since you cannot share these with the temple, only un-reserve them back to the temple list.
What we need, if there are reasons for not doing this automatically, is a new menu option:

Thank you so much for the enlightenment.
