Do people ever get contacted for poor indexing?

Does the head site administrator ever contact an indexer if their indexing work is way off mark,
because on the Austrailia Wills, there are many major mistakes on the main rules on how to
choose "No Extractable Data" on all sheets with the same name except the first one. I do,
of course, correct them when reviewing.

This happens on all the projects of this type. People always feel the need to index every page that has data on it and don't follow the rules. They are always a mess. But, good reviewers like yourself can move them along pretty quickly by marking them No, No Extractable Data. It is the reviewers who don't understand the rules that really hold the projects like these up.

I know someone who was contacted for poor reviewing and had his reviewing rights suspended. He accepted the offer of some personal training and then had his review rights reinstated.

Ugh! I started this comment days ago and didn't post it! Sorry!
Yes, there are times when this happens. The indexing teams looks particularly for abuse where indexers are purposely vandalizing or abusing the system. Indexers who are just making mistakes is a bit harder. The teams are small and can't monitor all the projects to this level. However, they do monitor these types of issues through reports. Sometimes this causes them to redo the instructions to make things clearer or they may change the way the project was setup. Then occasionally if they see a particular indexer really struggling, the user may be contacted.

I can barely find any of my relatives in Oregon in the 1950 Census due to poor/non-existent indexing. It's very frustrating.
