Why did you add an extra step to copying the PID from your completed list
Just like the extra steps added to Find, this slows down the work. I have to click twice to copy the PID from my completed list so that I can go to this person's record in family search. The first click brings up a box with information about the person and then I have to click on the PID in that box to copy it. WHY??

Nice explanation of your work flow and why you need this back. The more the engineers can see why something should be done, the more likely it will be considered. I do hope they put this flexibility back in for you.
In the meantime, and this may not be helpful for your way of working, have you tried using Right-Click (Windows) or Command (⌘)-Click on the list on the completed page? This opens the person you clicked on directly in a new tab without needing to copy anything and without losing your place on the list.

Probably for consistency with the rest of the website.
One question, if you are copying the ID to go to the person, why are you copying it from that pop up summary box then pasting it somewhere? Why not just click on the person's name and go right to the person's page?

Because I work from my completed list and if I do that I would have to go find my place again on the completed list. I open 2 windows. One with the completed list and the other to the find page. Then I can just go back and forth. I have 3000 people on my completed list and I check each one to see what else they need or add in research hints. Right now I am on page 11 of 60 working my way back to the front. I average 500 ordinances done in a month and anything that slows me down is hindering not hastening the work. The find used to always go back to whatever you did last such as ID or find by name. Now it defaults to name which is the absolute worst way to try to find someone. Also the nice option of adding labels to the people you are following has changed. Now instead of letting you add a label with one click, you must go to the following list and search by name. I have over 1200 I am following so this once again adds another unnecessary step. It is frustrating.
