I am reviewing batch M3MM-77R, an english record in French.
The fourth indexing entry is derived from text that is not crystal clear. The mother of the child is currently indexed as Jeanne Bouchard, which I think is correct based on the phrase, 'sa femme, son pere la mere" Yet the sentence or phrase after that is "Marie Gandouet sa femme..." This surname is the same as the father of the child, but more often than not, the mother's maiden name appears here, which makes me think again the mother is Jeanne Bouchard. Can someone more proficient in French than I am confirm which woman is the child's mother?

Hello,
I think the record for this entry differs a little from the others. The names of the parents of the father of the baptised child are given - Louis Andre Gandouet and Jeanne Bouchard. For the mother, Marie Gandouet, it goes on to say "who, before her marriage was called Marie Prou, daughter of Sieur Ezechiel Prou .... and of ...." the rest follows on the next image, which I can't open.
I think, therefore, you would enter the mother's surname as Prou Gandouet.
The maiden name of the mother of Marthe Binaud in record 3 is also given. Marthe Binaud "who, before her marriage, was called Marthe Boussaq" so you can enter that maiden name before the married name as well.
I hope all this helps.
Hilary.
