Why is Source-Linker not showing a "Residence" that you can bring over and attach.

I have noticed it doing this to all that I have attached this afternoon & evening.

I've seen this all day today. I hope this is a glitch that will be cleared up soon.

I have been having this problem also for a couple of days. It makes me not want to do any work until it is cleared up.

I also noticed it starting on July 6 and it makes it impossible to do any work involving census records.

I'm glad it's not just me. I've noticed it applies to at least 3 UK censuses, and your example is US Census, so it looks like the issue is not specific to the source. So we can tentatively point the finger at the linker, although I presume that the linker can only locate fields that match, so If a field identity in a source record has been "updated to improve the user experience" then the mechanism will break.
UPDATE: Just found that it allows the "Other" data to be copied over: e.g. Other (MilitaryDisposition)UNION WORKHOUSE, ECCLES NEW ROAD.

davidmburns gives my sentiment exactly. I don't want to work on FamilySearch until this clears up. It's not a little issue.

I've stopped work as well. Must be a glitch. Hopefully this will be fixed soon along with the locality names in the 1920 US Census.

I've had this same problem since about a week ago.

Hi, I'm from the UK, I too have had this problem since yesterday. Attaching census records, it is no longer transferring the census title to the persons page or recording in the 'Other Information' section, luckily it is still showing up in the Sources section.
For couple weeks or more too, on completion of attaching records the 'Return to Family Tree' button reads 'Back to Record' and does just that. There is already a button further up the screen to go to the Record. Would really appreciate this going back to the previous option....'Return to Family Tree'.

....Also... On attaching a record, if there is birth details on the record not already recorded on the person, we no longer have the option to transfer that birth info. Pleaseeeee can the Engineers sort this quickly? It's rather disheartening. Thanks

I typed a long comment and then deleted it all.
Summary: FS needs more transparency in defect status.

Also, birth dates are not showing up to bring across or to verify, this morning it was an SSDI; Same problem as locations not showing. Does someone monitor these problems? Is there another place we should post this so it gets a priority review?

There is a signficant item in another thread that seems to suggest that someone, or a team, has been making changes without regard to consequences ....

How will we know when the problem is fixed? Trial and error method?

Thank you for the comments. I'm glad it is a system error and not something related to my account.
OK Family Search Engineers...You have a bug in the system.

It would be nice to have some come back from a person in the know, about the problems Source-Linker is having with it's residence issues. Will this ever be restored and working again in Family Tree?

According to the support staff via the 800 help line the engineers are "aware" of this problem and are "working" on it.
I have quit attaching sources until the problem is resolved because I'm not willing to spend the time transcribing ALL the information from a source onto EVERY FIELD on the details page. Just moving on to the next person to be added. All information is being added manually to the fields....birth/married name, birth, death, and burial. Someone else will have to attach sources later to prove the information.
Must not have a high priority....still not fixed.

You've already noticed that this is working again but the engineers wanted to make sure that you knew it was fixed so I'm relaying their message! Sam 😊

Will there be any form of explanation ? Not Blame, just something to let us know that they're not just throwing spontaneous untested ideas into the released version.

Now it's not working again on the England 1861 Census.

Further to he report of @LDS Search Test I can confirm this is not working with the 1861 E&W census sources. (All other England & Wales collections appear to be working fine.)
Would be grateful if you could report to engineers.
