I've been working for 5 days on reviewing family households in Mississippi and the percentage remains at 1%. I'm getting a little discouraged not seeing any change. Is there a way to update the percentages to show 1/10 of a percentage?
@cathiebailey Thank you for your hard work. The calculation of completed percentages is very complicated and the updating does appear to move very slowly. The "behind the scenes" statistics are much more accurate and are the ones that trigger changes in status for the release of information. Since the display of statistics is not critical to the accuracy of the project, any changes have very low priority with the Engineers.
...But the enthusiasm of the volunteers and their efforts IS critical to the completion of this project. Could we be losing people's efforts that do not see they are making a difference? Just a thought.
@cathiebailey If your are discouraged by the % change on the state level, try looking at YOUR OWN contributions under the US Map on the 1950's census launch page. You need to be logged in to see your contributions. The default order of the list is in Alphabetical but can be sorted by HIGH-LOW so if you worked mostly on MISSISSIPPI, it would be first on the list. This is helping me stay motivated.
