    Hello, Sunny Jane. (Great name!!)

I've been contacted by a man in Germany who's probably connected to my family, but I'm a little cautious about this. He had asked about the names of my parents and grandparents, which I sent to him via the FamilySearch messages. Here's his latest message:

"Great, Do you still need data from my family? Will you give me your data? Where do you live, are you married, and your birthday? Send me your e-mail address then we can write directly. And I can send you a PDF of my family tree. R-D-H@web.de Greetings Ralf"

Do you think it's safe to communicate with him like this? I'm very hesitant to share my birthday, etc.

Thank you lots for your thoughts.

    Annette Blum

Only share the information you would share with someone whom you know personally.
