Antoine Bruno

In 1812, on 12 June, by me, undersigned priest, was baptized Antoine, born today of the legitimate marriage between Jean Baptiste Bruno from this parish and Celeste Vanasse. The godfather was Jean Baptiste Moysan alias Denys, and the godmother was Marguerite Vanasse, wife of Etienne Laroche, aunt of the child, who declared that they don’t know how to sign. (Signed by the priest)

I have learned that the Antoine mentioned in the birth record above is NOT the ancestor I am seeking.

@JonesG1 Please note that in this document, there are two baptism records for two different people named Antoine Bruno:

1.      Baptism of Antoine Bruno (the record is on the left side on the page)

In 1812, on 22 February, by me, undersigned priest, was baptized Antoine, born yesterday (i.e. 21 February) of the legitimate marriage between Antoine Bruno, from this parish, and Angelle Deserre. The godfather was François Cordier and the godmother was Louise Bruno, who declared that they don’t know how to sign. (Signed by the priest)

2.      Baptism of Antoine Bruno (the record is on the right side of the page)

In 1812, on 28 February, by me, undersigned priest, was baptized Antoine, born yesterday (i.e. 27 February) of the legitimate marriage between Louis Bruno, from this parish, and Marie Anne Û. The godfather was Antoine Û, uncle of the child, and the godmother was Julie Pleury, who declared that they don’t know how to sign. (Signed by the priest)
