Arthur, if the two profiles were created by different people (or by the same person but using different accounts), then while you are living, they cannot be merged.
If they were both created by you, using the same account, then you can use "Merge By ID" in the Tools menu in the right-hand column of the profile detail page.

@Arthur Williams_6, are you using a computer and a browser, or a tablet/phone and the app? If the latter, I can't help (I failed Phone), but in a browser, if you go to a person's profile page (URL of the form https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/NNNN-NNN), then the right-hand side of the page should have a section titled Tools. (I temporarily closed some sections for the screenshot so that you can see the part of the header that it's under.)
Is that not what you see?

Neither PID is in the public tree space. Are they both in your own private tree space? If yes, you can merge them, or delete the one that is not linked to your contributor account.
If one PID is in another contributor's private tree space, it can stay there indefinitely, or the other contributor can delete it.

IDs of living person's can not be merged.

IDs of living persons can be merged just fine if the two IDs were created under the same account. They can only be merged by that one user who created both of them.
If the two IDs are in different accounts, that is, created by two different users, they cannot be merged.

They were both created by me.
Unfortunately, no Tools Menu appears in the right-hand column of the profile detail page.
