Johannesburg cemetery M3G5-G8B. Asks for death date, birth date, record date in form we type in. On record there is no date column for anything. However at right side of record, they have written in a date. Person who I’m reviewing, put that date as date of record (guess?). My understanding is it should be control blank, as it’s not a defined date?

Yes, mark it blank. To mark all of those fields blank, mark the dates in the image blank, then go back to the Day of Record day and click this icon, which is the sixth icon in from the right. That will mark all of the days in the Day of Record field blank. Repeat this for the month and year.

This icon also works in indexing. It saves a ton of time if you have multiple records in a batch and you know that there is a field (usually a required field) that is not on the document, the surname (ex: Johnson), the place (ex: Boston) or the date (ex: July 10, 1945) on the document are the same.
