Error Report - Auto Standardization - Norway/Solomon Islands

@N Tychonievich

Ran across this today while working in Family Tree in which the standard for Fitjar SB was set as Solomon Islands. This is a different situation (Is this the fourth variety?) of an auto-standardization problem in that there is no original/updated place name on the record but Solomon Island shows on the Search Result list and it apparently comes across in the Source Linker if a record is used to create a new place.

There are a number of records that have this problem in the Norway Church Books database: https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&q.anyPlace=solomon%20islands&q.anyPlace.exact=on&q.recordCountry=Norway

I would wonder if this is connected to the incorrect display of place name in Hints even thought those records did not show the incorrect place when found using Search.

There are a few other similar errors in these search results, such showing Korea and Fiji, and a few that do show correctly, but the vast majority of these 58,985 results display Solomon Islands.

    @Gordon Collett Yes, the example you provided the URL for is an auto-standardization issue that was partially fixed. If you look at the record details page: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:683B-5ZGG, you will see the birthplace correctly, but it is inaccurate in the search results. We're seeing quite a lot of this currently. I'll get this one up to engineering.
