    @TimothyDewey

    Thank you for your post in Community. You can sometimes dismiss a data problems. Follow the steps below, to see if the data problems you are encountering can be dismissed.

    When Family Tree detects impossible or unlikely data issue for a person, the system displays a data problem alert (

     ). Examples of data problems include a child whose birth date is before a parent's birth date or a person who lived over 120 years.

    If they are correct, some data problems can be dismissed. Other data problems disappear only after the data that is causing the problem is corrected.

    Steps (website)

    1. In the top menu, click Family Tree, and then click Tree.
    2. Find the person with the data problem.
    3. Click the person's name. In the details that pop-up, click the person's name again. You will be taken to that person’s page.
    4. Click the data problem you want to dismiss. If the data problem can be dismissed, the fly-out has a Dismiss link.
    5. Click Dismiss.
    6. Enter a reason statement that explains why you believe that the data problem should be dismissed and that no corrections are needed.
    7. Click Dismiss.

    Good luck.

    One reason for a reoccurring person data error is when an ancestor is married to a cousin the grandparents of the married couple would be the same.

    Yes, this is the case, first cousins marrying, and the error apparently cannot be dismissed.
