Miscellaneous Question
I searched under groups and could not find a group that could help with this question. I am reviewing US, Mississippi—Military Discharge Records, 1917–1974[M3FK-397]. In this batch there is a list called "Roster of Confederate Soldiers and Sailors", which I saved for someone to look at and possible provide and answer. Page 1 is a list of soldiers/sailors names along with the company and unit that they were in, then page 2, there is column called Paroled with what happened to these individuals. Page 2 would be considered no extractable data. Since there is no certificate of honorable discharge, does page 1get indexed?

You would index the soldiers names that are on the first page. One does not have to be honorably discharged to be indexed. We are creating a searchable index so people can find their ancestors and learn about them.
Some of the soldiers discharge dates are on the second page. So you use the enter those dates from page two on the 1st page entry and then mark the second page as No, No Extractable Data. (Paroling is not the same as discharging, so you wouldn't use the parole date columns. It would have to say Discharged.)

I am doing 1880's and have a gentleman with two identical records. He is a retired Naval Officer. The first entry was revoked and redone at a later date. Do I enter both records with any kind of explanation?

@grobins4125869 It is always best to share the batch code to get an accurate answer. That is the series of letters and numbers in brackets following the project title. It sounds like you should index both records. They are not identical if they have different dates to be recorded. You can't place explanations in indexing forms.
