How can I search batch numbers beginning with T please?

I don't know if it applies to batch numbers beginning with T, but for batch numbers beginning with C and M, go to Search Historical Records https://www.familysearch.org/search/ click on More Options, then scroll to the line Add Record Options, where the 3rd option is Batch Number. I checked using C310001 and M310001 (I had a note these were Macao records)

Thanks for the reply Maureen, I did do that and got your results with C P & M but when i tried T it came back with "no result" and the Batch number choice was greyed out. So it was then neccessary to start over again.

I just tried this by entering "T" followed by a wildcard in the Batch Number field - i.e. T* - see https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&q.batchNumber=t*

However, when I did a search on batches beginning with "M" I got 241,361,349 results, so perhaps there are just those 1,177 records in "T" batches.

Hello Paul, tried that with the same result as you but it seems all the results are USA census. I was looking for bmds in Yorkshire England

@john robson_2 It looks like you never found a solution for your T batch number search. Can you provide a little more detail? What exact batch number are you looking for? And where did you discover the batch number? That will help us see what you see and perhaps find a solution for you.

@john robson_2 I sent this to John by private message after he provided me with more information about which T batches he was searching for, but am also posting it here as an FYI for others who responded and might be interested:

When using the International Genealogical Index, also known by the acronym 'IGI', one will often find a number associated with the entry. This is the 'batch number' indicating the source type of the record or records created in preparing the information for inclusion in the IGI, especially after the temple ordinances were completed.

It appears that all of the ones you are looking for are from the old patron submissions from 1969-1991. Those are incorporated into the International Genealogical Index portion of Genealogies on FamilySearch.

You cannot find them when doing a batch search in records. They are not considered historical records, but fall in the category of "Genealogies" -- information compiled by an individual and submitted (in this case for temple work in temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).

You can visit the Family History Library in Salt Lake City to see the microfilms. Be aware that these are not sourced records, but data about one person or family as submitted by a patron.

You can see the submitted data. Click Search and then Genealogies on FamilySearch. Click More Options beside the Search button. Under the Add Record Options category, click Collection. Click the down arrow and then International Genealogical Index. Now you'll see more Add Record Option options. One is Batch Number. I entered T990842 as a batch number here and left all other fields blank. It returns 154 results of Darleys. Click a name to see what information was submitted for each person--none of it is extensive or sourced, so be cautious about drawing conclusions as to its accuracy.
