Ooppss! I am sorry. The United States. Possibly in Indiana or Kentucky.

And a religion, if you know it, since many records in that time frame will be church records.

Have no clue what religion Presley was.

As most records are organized by location, it may be necessary to pinpoint a place. Here are some potential ways to do that. You are guessing they got married between 1830 and 1840. Does Presley Clark appear as a head of household in the 1840 US Census? If so, where. What about the 1830 US Census, what evidence do you have that they may be a child in their parent's household? If so, where?
In other words, we are looking for the earliest known record you have of them married and wanting to identify that exact location. From there are there tax records for that location, can you work your way back in the tax records until he does not appear? Was he a farmer? Are there land records?
Just some thoughts.

He appears in the 1830 Census, living in Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana, and married Caroline Hendelider, on May 28, 1823, in Clark County, Indiana.

Scratch Clark County for the marriage; it was Floyd County, Indiana.

There is a Presley Clark-Elizabeth Moore marriage in Muskingum Ohio in 1843. That's the only one I've seen that comes close. And, we know that not all marriage records from that early have survived.

That is not him. Thanks for helping.

Do you know when/where Caroline died? That would help bracket the likely years/location for a 2nd marriage.

That is a good question. I would say she died between 1830 and 1840.
