Surviving person after 2 wrong merges: M8VT-662

Merge the ordinances would have passed through: L6FP-6C5

Original person ID (now a deleted person): L824-KM2 (notice she was my ancestor who died 1881 that someone deleted in the process of merging into the wrong family)

Actual ancestor's ID currently in Family Tree where ordinances should go: GS39-PY3

Clicking "Restore Person" will bring back the original Bridget L824-KM2 with her ordinances and remove those ordinances from everyone else. Then you can merge that record with her duplicate GS39-PY3.

You can't use Find to get to her record any more. You have to use her ID in the Recents menu or work your way through the merges in the Change Logs of these people.

Hi Michael - Thanks for visiting community and posting your question. One approach would be for you to undo the merges that have be completed. For temple ordinances, this will restore each record back to what it was prior to the merge. Just be aware that the record that survived all the merges will still have other things such as sources and relationships from the merge which will have to be cleaned up. Once you have reversed the merges, then you can make the necessary changes for the records. If after this, there are merges required, you can do those making sure they are valid and correct merges.

Here are the instructions for restoring a person deleted by merge.

Hope this will let you sort out this situation. Please reply if you need additional information.
