How to remove names in Recommended Tasks list?
Is there a way to remove names from showing up on my Recommended Tasks list when I first sign in that I have already reviewed, and are either Not my Family, or some other reason that I can't or don't want to do them? Is there a way to remove them so they no longer show up in my list of Recommended Tasks? This would make the List of Recommended Tasks much more useful if it didn't continue listing names I have already reviewed but I can't do anything with them.

Thank you for posting your question in the Community. There is a way to remove a name from the Recommended Tasks list.
Click on the icon next to the name. If it is a Temple Icon, a window will open and you will see a blue link titled, Ignore. Click Ignore and then refresh your screen. The name will be removed from the list.
If you click on the blue Record Hints Icon, you will need to click on the arrow next to the hint. Then you can choose the link titled, Ignore.
Here is some information from a Help Center article about the Recommended Task List:
Recommended Tasks (website)
The Recommended Tasks list is on the FamilySearch.org home page after you sign in.
Here are the key features:
- Suggests tasks and gives information to help you start and extend your Family Tree.
- As you enter more information about your family, the system identifies places in the first few generations of your tree where direct ancestors are missing.
- Searches the historical records database and provides potential matching information about your ancestors, which you must carefully review to ensure that the information is a definite match before you accept it as a match.
- Suggested and potential matching record hints appear on this list and are marked with a blue icon.
- The task list also displays people you have clicked even if they are not related to you.
The last sentence on the bulleted list explains why some of the people on the list may not be related to you.
We hope this helps.

FYI
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
As an aside ...
A point of clarification ...
Regarding, the "Key Features", in the 'Comment' proffered by 'CJTobler' ...
[ And, I could be wrong; and, I stand corrected, if I am ... ]
In particular, regarding the the ORIGINAL Computer "Website" Version, of 'FamilySearch':
- The task list also displays people you have clicked even if they are not related to you.
That point comes from the "Knowledge Article", in 'FamilySearch':
What are all the different tasks lists in the Family Tree?
Article ID: 1586 ... 'Dated': 20 April 2020
Unfortunately ...
Although, that point references, the ORIGINAL Computer "Website" Version, of 'FamilySearch', such is NOT the case.
And, is CONTRADICTED in a ANOTHER "Knowledge Article" (of the SAME 'Date') ...
Please refer to this "Knowledge Article", 'in 'FamilySearch':
What are the differences between the different task lists on Family Tree website and mobile app?
Article ID: 1436 ... 'Dated': 20 April 2020
Where, it states, among other things:
Quote
------------------
Both the Family Tree web and mobile apps help you find ancestors with record hints by generating a list. If you use Family Tree on both products, your lists contain different people.
How much of your tree do the task lists search?
Both products search a part of your tree to find people with record hints. The Ancestors with Tasks list for mobile looks at 7 or 8 generations of ancestors and any additional lines you have viewed. The Descendants with Tasks list searches 3 to 5 generations. The web app scans 6 generations of ancestors and 1 generation of their descendants.
How the system adds people to the lists
The mobile app tracks each person you view. If you display a person who has record hints, the app adds that person to the Ancestors with Tasks list. The web app does not do this.
------------------
Therefore ...
As you can 'see', that FIRST "Knowledge Article", is INCORRECT, regarding that LAST point of:
- The task list also displays people you have clicked even if they are not related to you.
regarding, the ORIGINAL Computer "Website" Version, of 'FamilySearch'.
So ...
That Said ...
"Knowledge Article", What are all the different tasks lists in the Family Tree?, NEEDS correcting/amending
Plus ...
I can CONFIRM, that the "Recommended Tasks" between, the ORIGINAL Computer "Website" Version, of 'FamilySearch'; and, the "Mobile" Application Version, of 'FamilySearch', ARE "Totally" DIFFERENT.
ie. SOME individuals/persons, ARE included, in BOTH "Lists"; whereas, SOME are NOT.
Personally ...
My HOPE, is that, the MECHANISM, of INCLUDING, "Any" individual/person, that one has viewed, rather than just one's Ancestors (from one's "Ancestral" Lines) is summarily REMOVED from the "Mobile" Application Version, of 'FamilySearch'; as, such leads to both, CONFUSON; and, UNNECESSARY work, for Users/Patrons.
And, I also truly HOPE, that the MECHANISM, of INCLUDING, "Any" individual/person, that one has viewed, rather than just one's Ancestors (from one's "Ancestral" Lines), is NEVER implemented in the ORIGINAL Computer "Website" Version, of 'FamilySearch'; as, that would be just WRONG.
Just my thoughts.
I am sorry to 'highjack' your post.
I just wanted to clarify a matter.
I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective.

I would humbly venture to suggest, that you MAY want to refer, the "Knowledge Article"; being, What are all the different tasks lists in the Family Tree?, for correcting/amending.
