option to hide living people on my screen.

I would like the option to hide living people in my tree. I can click and hide my children, but do not see an option to hide a former spouse's name. When I pull up my tree to show others how to do it, I would prefer to not have the names of those living displayed.

One option you have now is to create a second FamilySearch account for yourself. Have one be where you do all your work and keep all your living people.

The second account you could use just for displaying your deceased family to others. Just give your second account a distinctive name such as BAJdisplayonly so you don't accidentally add any living people.

You will need to have yourself in the second account and that record will be a duplicate of you with a different ID number, but that is fine. If you want to be able to display a pedigree chart starting with you or do any relationship viewing, you would have to add duplicates of your parents, and maybe grandparents, to link back to your first deceased direct ancestors. Those can be added with just their names and no other information.

Thank you for your response. Just decided to delete the first name. Then I am allowed to have the children in there and just the last name is not a significant identifier.

Thank you kindly for responding. 😃
