How are the total contributions for individual transcribers established?
Although I've been transcribing since April 2 or 3, there is no way I can have a total of over 36,000 unless there is one count for each time you click. Someone on a Facebook site said that total is each line I've touched.

@Toni Loving, the total contributions is calculated by each "name" that you review. So if you are doing name review and you choose to do 20 names, then when you go back to the home page and look at your total for the name review, you see that it has increased by 20. For Headers Reviewed, it would count as 1 for each header that you do, not any names in the header. For the Family Review, a family, no matter what the size is, is counted as 1.
If you have been doing name review, and a lot of names, it is possible that you could have that many contributions. If you feel that there would be no way that total could be correct, you can report by giving Feedback on the home page of 1950 census. It is found on the left side of the page. My numbers seem to be accurate with what I have done. I hope that this helps. Thank you for asking.
