name sharing

- Can a person that is shared to a family group another person takes that name to do an ordinance can the remaining ordinance be returned to the group or do they have to do the other ordinances.
- I have requested names shared to the temple I wanted to baptisms however it would only allow to take all the ordinances what happens to the other ordinance if I cannot complete them in the 90 days. I tried to share the names to the family group and it would not allow me to.

The answer doesn't exist anywhere else other than my head. I wrote it just now based on my experience on the website, podcasts I have heard, posting from other people here on these boards, RootsTech presentations, and help center articles.
Sometimes the best way to find answers is to just play around on the website. Click on every single thing you can find on the page and see what happens. You can't break anything. But you will learn what you can do and what you can't do, what works and what doesn't.

@Val G Cooper Thank you for posting your question to FamilySearch Community. We will do our best to help you.
I don't know if you are aware of, and have used, the Help Centre which is available to everyone at no cost. It is located at the RH end of the FamilySearch ribbon / banner located near the top of your screen. Look for the small question mark within a small circle. Click on that then scroll down to "Help Center" and click on that to open up the Help Center. Post your question in the white strip in the middle of the blue band then click on the darkened "Search" button. That will bring up a series of "Knowledge Articles" which you should scroll through to find the most applicable answer,
When I did that this is what came up -

This seems to answer your question but, if you require more help / information then please contact us again.
Kind Regards,

This did not answer the question I already have read this. The question is why I cannot share with the family group one that I have requested from the shared to the temple

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]
Just in passing ...
Simple ...
Like it or not ...
As per, the aforementioned "Knowledge Article", in 'FamilySearch', already proffered by 'John' ...
How do I share ordinances with a family group?
https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/share-ordinances-with-a-family-group
ie.
Short Answer: BECAUSE you CANNOT ... share "Temple" Work, already "Share[d] with the Temple System".
As, that is the CURRENT, "Design"; and, 'modus operandi', of the System".
There have been, MANY recent "Requests", since the implementation, of "Family Groups", to CHANGE such.
Hopefully, such is being considered ...
Until then ...
We can but live in hope ...
Just my thoughts ...
I am sorry ...
I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective.

Let's just answer your questions. Sometimes that is just easiest.
Question 1) Can a person that is shared to a family group another person takes that name to do an ordinance can the remaining ordinance be returned to the group or do they have to do the other ordinances.
Here is an ordinance in a Family Group which I have selected:
I have two choices. I can immediately print a card or I can move the ordinances to my personal reservation list. If I click Reserve For Later, I get this popup in which I can choose which ordinances I wish to take:
I can click off any I want to leave in the Family Group:
However, I will take all of them and when I do, then I can see in My Reservations this:
I now have 90 days to complete these ordinances. If I do not (and if expiration dates are being enforced), at the end of the 90 days, these will be removed from my list and put back in the Family Group. Note that I cannot share them back to the group, share them with another group, or share them with the temple. This is because only one person can "own" the reservation and that is the person who originally reserved the 2-year ordinance. Anyone who then takes that as a 90-Day assumes temporary responsibility for the reservation but is not given ownership of it.
However, what I can do at any time is to return these ordinances back to the Family Group that I got them from. This is where the terminology gets confusing. In order to return these, I click the check box:
Notice that Share is still greyed out and disabled. However, I can click Unreserve. This does not unreserve the ordinance completely! It only "unreserves" it from my personal list and moves it back to the group it came from.
When I click unreserve and look at the Family Group, it is right there where it came from ready for someone else in the group to take responsibility for it.:
Question 2) I have requested names shared to the temple I wanted to baptisms however it would only allow to take all the ordinances what happens to the other ordinance if I cannot complete them in the 90 days. I tried to share the names to the family group and it would not allow me to.
If I go to someone's ordinance page that has ordinances that someone else has reserved (that is, has ownership of) and shared with the temple, as seen by the clock on the icon:
I can take these as 90-Ordinaces:
As seen here, I am required to take all available B/C/I/E ordinances, but I can choose not to take the sealings;
This moves these ordinances to my personal list and gives me the responsibility to complete them but does not give me "ownership."
That is why there is the notice that I cannot share these with the temple (because they already are) or share them with a family group (because I said I would do them). If I don't get these done, then in 90 days (if expiration dates are being enforced) they will vanish from my list and return to their original shared with the temple list.
However, just like with Family Group ordinances, I can at any time select these ordinances, and "unreserve" them. Again, this only "unreserves" them from my list and moves them back to their original place in the shared with temple system.
To summarize:
Ordinances that have been shared to a group or to the temple can be taken as 90 day ordinances to be personally completed by us but 90 ordinances can never be re-shared. If we decide not to do them, all we can do is unreserve them which returns them to the group or temple they came from. Doing so does not completely unreserve them. They will still be seen in Family Tree with the green temple with clock icon.
Ordinances that we originally reserved from Family Tree as 2 year ordinances which we therefore "own" we can move around from our list to the temple list to group lists back and forth as much as we want. We can also unreserve these at any time but this will completely unreserve them and they will be seen in Family Tree with the regular green temple icon.

This is a very good answer. Is it anywhere that can be accessed other than through Q&A
