Ordinances unavailable

Is there no option to chat or send a message to get support on problems in Family Search? I would much prefer that than to logging onto this forum.

I have an ancestor that was born in 1899, yet his ordinances are all orange and say the status of the ordinances are not available and I need to contact FS.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Just in passing ...

Please be, aware; and, advise, that ...

You have ALREADY supplied sufficient detail, for you matter, to be dealt with, by 'FamilySearch' "Support".

Although, you most likely can ...

Especially, if you are from "North America" ...

You DO NOT, need to either, speak to anyone on the "Telephone"; or, via/through a "Live ('On-Line') Chat" ...

A "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" ( Personnel ) ], in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, can run with what you have provided, to help/assist you, by taking this post of yours, into the workings, of 'FamilySearch' "Support".

All, that you need to do is standby; and, your matter will be dealt with, in due course.

    Good Luck.

    Just my thoughts.

I know, that this certainly does not directly help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective.

Thank you for your post here in Community.

We have submitted your concern to a specialty team to review and respond to you directly through email.

In the meantime, the following are just a few reasons a person's ordinances may show as not available.

The ordinance status "Not Available" means that the ordinance information for the person is unavailable to view.

"Not Available" can appear for many reasons. The most common are the following:

    • Privacy reasons prevent display of the ordinances.
    • The individual is still living or death information is not recorded properly.
    • The person lived before A.D. 200, and the ordinances are probably complete.
    • Additional approvals are required before you can perform ordinances for the person (such as for a famous person or Jewish Holocaust victim).
    • The person does not show a spouse or parents for sealing ordinances.

When you hear from the specialty team if you have further questions please reply to the email you receive for fastest response.

We appreciate the opportunity to serve you today and wish you best of success in your family history.
