Obvious errors

I recently had a situation where a 7-year-old girl was said to be over 30 in the supplemental section at the bottom of the census sheet. She was also said to be a farmer working 28 hours a week on a farm. Do we just confirm this the way it is recorded or should we correct it?

@CannonJohnF, When reviewing data from the 1950s US Census, make sure the index matches what is on the image. Please do not add or edit information, even if you think the census taker made a mistake. In this case we would not correct using the supplemental section at the bottom. Thank you for your dedication in working to make the records correct.

I had something similar happen the other day, but when I looked at the image, the line number on the supplemental questions matched a different person than what the computer had said. The census taker had it right; only the computer had it wrong.

@Laura Mitchell_2 , I have seen that too. You probably handled it properly. We just select Skip Household and then "Other" and we can mark that the line numbers were off. Keep up with the great work!
