Making instructions more clear

Suggestions:

On the Military indexing projects, if you will notice that in a soldiers serial number there sometimes is an “R-“  in front of the serial number. The “R” stands for Regular Army and not Guard or Reserve. It is not part of the serial number.  If we could list this in the instructions as not needing to be put in it would be great. This will apply to other military projects also. Also sometimes they want to know the major unit of organization, Army, Navy, etc,  just know that infantry is Army and could be designated as such if it was noted in the instructions.  Also they are having us list the enlistment date with other dates which I am uncomfortable with.  Can we change the name to military date or something else. I feel like it is making us into liars. This also includes the places of the units. We should not be mixing dated and places. Thanks. Alan
