##Update## - lots of bugs were fixed today!

Feel free to jump back into Nevada and the experience should be much better. If you haven't done Nevada yet and you are trying for the 48 state challenge, you don't have much time left to jump in there!

Keep reporting problems, but in a couple cases you can Skip and say "Nothing is wrong":

  • If you get a family that has all green checks
  • If you get the top rows with a family continued from the previous image

Note: When you are served a family, sometimes you will get random additional people on the image included. Check the name at the top of the side panel and keep that family, then uncheck everyone else.

I hope they get the "family that has all green checks" fixed. Sometimes it's 80% of the families I see- I usually quit and go do name review.....

    Thanks for the update Sam!

Thanks for the update, but I'm having problems in Nevada. Perhaps the server is overloaded. I start reviewing a family, click on "next" after verifying the occupants and then everything is grayed out and I can't go any further. I wait and then I get an error message or am asked to "refresh" and I'm sent to another census page just to start over again.

What is the 48 state challenge?

@GuerreroMartha Some people want to help review in every state, which in 1950 was 48 states. Just a fun way to be involved if you want. Sam 🙂

I have shut down my computer. I have left the program and then restarted it. Not sure about cookies?? My computer still will not populate the page that i am working on. My screen is white and the hot keys work. Tried the three options its is all the same--white screen with hot buttons.

Not sure I am in the right place. ☺️ Indexing the 1950 census and have been for several days. Today, it seems that the screen zooms in on the surname then goes back to 'normal', playing heck with my eyes. Can only imagine it could give some a sense of vertigo. Anyone else having this problem? As I mentioned, just started today so wondered if it is something new? I hope it doesn't continue, I would have to stop indexing if this is the case. Appreciate any insight on this one.

What about when one of the names checked for the family says Vacant but it can't be unselected (the circle is filled with grey)? I've been skipping those households.

Have you tried cleaning your browser's cache?

@sallyhalls, if you are doing the 1950 census and you shut your computer down and then restarted it, it will not repopulate the page that you were working on. The system is designed to save what you have done and then goes available for another reviewer to pick up and finish the reviewing.

It is always good to clear your cookies and temp files often to make sure the FamilySearch programs are working correctly.

I hope that this has helped you.

@withthecia, you are saying that within a family that one of the family members is marked as "Vacant". It is fine that you skipped the household. If you see it again, you can report it through Feedback and then put detailed notes about what you are seeing. Thank you!

@Cheryl Moore_2 , are you still experiencing the issue of the names getting big and then resuming to normal size? I have replicated and am not seeing this issue. If you are still experiencing it, maybe clear your cookies and temp files to see if that helps. Also, change browsers and see if that helps.

Thank you for letting us know.

@Marian McDonald_1, thank you for letting us know. The issue of it graying out and then refreshing sends you to another page could be different things happening. Because Nevada is now finished, when you are working on another state, please let us know if you are still having that issue.
