Login to a working page.
Frequently, I have several pages open while researching a family. I might not return to a page for several hours / overnight / or days while I do other work or sleep. During this time I am automatically logged out (no problem with this). But, on logging in again I am taken to the FS homepage for my profile and I cannot get back to the page I was working on.
Can the auto logout please remember the address of the page I was on, and after logging in again, open that page.
Or, save a list of the addresses accessed in my profile so that I can find and return to the page. I am only suggesing pages that were open when auto logged out, not a history.
I am asking Family Search to do this because, as a very active genealogist, I access many related websites during the process and my browser (Chrome) history becomes a nightmare to find a particular page.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
As an aside ...
And, NOT, in relation, to your suggested enhancement ...
I have MULTIPLE, "Browsers"; "Windows"; &, "Tabs", open within the various 'Windows', all at the same time ...
And, I ALWAYS have the "Option, to "Keep me signed in for 2 weeks"; as, "Enabled" (ie. Checked/ON) ...
IF, I am working hard; and, DO NOT want to loose, my 'Place', with "Any", of what I am working on, for a length of time; THEN, I simply, DO NOT, either, "Log Out", of 'FamilySearch'; and, most "Importantly", DO NOT, "Shutdown" my Computer.
When, I get back up, the next morning, ALL what I have been working on is STILL there; and, I only have to "Refresh" the pages/screens; as, necessary.
Luckily, I have NOT "Lost" ANYTHING ... yet ...
Plus, whenever, the Computer LOST "Power" (ie. got unplugged), in ALL instances, I was able to have the "Browsers", simply RESTORE the PREVIOUS "Windows"/"Tabs"; and, sessions, at the time of the 'outage'; and, that worked just fine ...
I know, that this certainly does not help/assist, with regard to your suggested enhancement; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective; and, another avenue to pursue.
Good Luck.
Just my thoughts.

I almost never end up on the login page and haven't seen the home page in months. (I gather from various Community threads that FS is doing Bad Things to it?) I always make sure to check the "two weeks" box, and when I come back to a tab, I try to remember to refresh it so that I don't inadvertently lose any work -- but FS often takes care of that, silently.

I haven't yet encountered this problem, in spite of never having checked the "Keep me signed in for two weeks" box. However, I am just talking about coming backing to my PC after being only (up to) a few hours away from the screen.
My Firefox settings automatically delete all cookies / history once I leave the browser, but I have Chrome set so I have to do this manually. My suggestion would have been to get back to the individual pages via the browser's History list, but you have explained this is not practicable in your case.
I always find it interesting when I read reports like this, whereby only some users experience a problem that is unknown to others. It generally seems to be a browser issue - I admit I use Firefox most of the time when working in FamilySearch - but it's always a problem when others are unable to replicate, especially the FamilySearch engineers!
